Meet Jenn Giroux
Jenn Giroux grew up on the east side of Cincinnati, Ohio. She attended St. Ursula Academy, two years of Pre-Nursing at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and completed her studies at Christ Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati. Jenn has been a Registered Nurse for 39 years and worked in medical specialties that include Infectious Disease, Medical-Surgical Care, LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Post-Partum), Same Day Surgery/Pre-admission testing, Geriatrics, medical coding and Home Health/End of Life care.
Jenn’s passion for family advocacy and education led her to get involved in organizations that worked to defend life and protect Families. She was the Founder of Speaking of Motherhood, an educational outreach to young women to restore the respect and value of the greatest profession on earth: Motherhood. Jenn worked as Assistant to the President for Citizens for Community Values to fight pornography and educate parents on keeping their children safe on the internet.
Jenn is a writer and former talk show host with Salem Radio Network and has extensive experience in both Network and Cable TV, radio, and print media. Jenn and her husband, Dan, are owners of the Catholic Shop in Madeira, Ohio. Running a family-owned business for the last 25 years has given Jenn a clear understanding of the challenges and needs of small business owners. Jenn considers her greatest accomplishment to be that of her marriage and motherhood. She and Dan have 9 children and 6 grandchildren, and they reside in Symmes Township.
Issues
- Elective: Five decades of statistics on legal abortion have shown that 98% of all abortions are performed for personal, non-medical reasons, but no other law in America allows us to kill someone else to solve a personal problem.
- Life of the mother: With modern medical advancements, the technology exists to save both baby and mother in high-risk pregnancies. Abortion is never medically necessary in these cases (Washington Examiner, 2019); unfortunately the “life of the mother” clause and language has been exploited to get around laws restricting abortion.
- Rape and incest: We’ve been lied to about these tragic situations. The reality is that in less than 1% of these incidents a child is conceived. A child should not be punished (aborted) for the crimes of the father. Every life has equal value in the eyes of God. Abortion is always wrong.
- The victims: When a woman is a victim of a violent act such as rape, it is always a horrific tragedy. Encouraging her to keep her baby is not being insensitive to her trauma but is actually preventing her from being wounded again by the violence of abortion. We know this well from the many victims who have chosen to give life and who have spoken out about their experiences.
- End-of-Life: As a nurse who has cared for many vulnerable people, I am totally opposed to any form of euthanasia or physician-assisted suicide. These abuses of patient rights are a grave violation of the Hippocratic Oath and the medical profession’s duty to care for all. Likewise, passive euthanasia practices such as the withdrawal of healthcare and nutrition for people at the end of their lives should be outlawed in Ohio. Hospitals, with the duty to preserve life and health, should not be making decisions about ending lives but should be providing only conscientious and ethical palliative care.
Generosity and support are the answers that always help people in difficult situations, which is why I will advocate to remove taxpayer funding for abortion and put it into vouchers to mitigate the high costs of adoption. The innumerable couples wishing to adopt will then have the means to bestow their love on children who would otherwise be deprived of a family.
Parents have the God-given, sole right to educate their children in the area of human sexuality without government or school board interference. When the parents delegate this type of education to teachers, parents still retain the right to oversee and approve all educational programs, curriculum content, and school events. This fundamental parental right was severely abrogated during the pandemic when schools were closed and parents had no idea what was being taught to their kids via virtual learning.
I am totally opposed to any form of graphic and obscene sex education, especially by teachers who are overt advocates for perverse lifestyles that poison children’s minds, steal their innocence, and leave them with a permanently distorted view of the gift of human sexuality.
The same right to parental oversight applies to the teaching of any subject matter, such as Critical Race Theory, which is intended to create division between students and foster a racist view of society and American history. CRT should be forbidden by law.
Local school boards and teachers’ associations need to be reminded that they work for the parents, not the other way around.
- We need Ohio laws to prevent male athletes from competing in female sports. Every individual must be required to compete with the sex of their Chromosonal DNA. It is insanity for men with their full general anatomy intact and unchanged to compete as a” woman” because they choose to identify as a woman.
- This also presents safety issues to women and young girls in sharing locker rooms, dorm rooms, and dressing rooms with boys and men dressed as women.
- Sex change and hormonal therapy for children should be named for what it is : child abuse. It should be forbidden by law. The most loving and helpful act is to help children understand and embrace the gift of who they are and who God made them to be in His image and likeness.
- Children and adolescents are not capable of understanding or making such a life altering, life changing, devastating, damaging decision such as taking hormones or allowing surgery to mutilate their body. That is why it is important for parents to monitor what is being taught in classrooms and school-sponsored programs.
I will work to advocate and support America First laws, protect American borders (build the wall!), and fight globalism which aims to destroy American independence and jobs. It is important for the safety of Ohio citizens that we monitor and vet all illegal aliens who are sent to Ohio by the Biden Administration. And have the right to refuse them from settling here in order to prevent illegal drug trafficking and other criminal activity.
Religious liberty is guaranteed by the Constitution. I will proactively advocate for laws that protect religious freedom in work, private, and public settings so that there is no fear of employer retribution for the conscientious decisions of their employees. This includes freedom of conscience in all areas of life, especially the medical profession.
On that matter, as a nurse, I am totally opposed to any coercion regarding medical procedures, particularly vaccine mandates, which infringe upon people’s fundamental religious liberty and right to medical autonomy. We should know from recent history that governments should never be allowed to force anyone to receive medical treatments of any type.
As an elected representative, I will support any legislation that offers protection from coercion in the workforce, as well any government overreach that violates this basic human freedom and constitutional right.
The Second Amendment is one of America’s most precious rights, and it is being relentlessly attacked for ideological purposes today. Restricting gun ownership has never reduced crime. In fact, the opposite is true, which is why our Founding Fathers wrote in our Constitution that “the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”
I will oppose all the seductive federal funding aimed at turning Ohio into a “red flag state.” I will fiercely resist every effort of our state legislature to pass laws that will only pit citizens and institutions against one another and leave Ohio less safe.
Recent tragic and high-profile shootings are being exploited by unscrupulous left-wing gun control advocates to violate our fundamental right to bear arms, and I will oppose every effort to diminish our Second Amendment rights.
Democrat leadership on every level has left our country in shambles. Even a glance at the news tells you our society is less secure than ever before – and in every category. National and local security is everyone’s concern, especially parents and concerned citizens.
- Kids and schools: Open season on our children – morally and physically – will not continue under my watch, and I will do everything within my ability to hold schools accountable for what they teach, for how kids are treated (such as mandatory masking) and for what they do to protect their premises. Teachers need to have the ability to protect themselves, their students, and their schools. Furthermore, any school board members who have become enemies of parents need to be replaced
- Police, emergency personnel, first responders: Police should be considered innocent until proven guilty in the court of public opinion, and we should be funding, thanking, and supporting our police who put their lives on the line for us every day. We also need to support firefighters, emergency personnel, and first responders in every possible way.
- Bureaucracy and politicians: I also believe it is high time we held the army of bureaucrats in the offices of state government accountable for any abuse of office that took place during the pandemic. The terrible mismanagement of the COVID crisis by government officials is an additional concern when it comes to government overreach into our lives.
- Medical facilities: During the pandemic, innumerable Ohio families were touched by the unfounded restrictions placed on medical facilities that heartlessly prevented family members and even clergy from their loved ones who were sick and dying, which was precisely the time when they were most in need of support. Many people in vulnerable medical positions were inexcusably left to die alone in facilities without advocates or loving family around them. Ultimately, it is the task of state representatives to hold the Governor and the various state hospital associations accountable for this kind of unjustifiable overreach.
As a small business owner myself, I will aggressively advocate for laws and regulations (or the reduction of regulations) that will allow small businesses to grow and thrive in our district. As we saw plainly during the COVID lockdowns, many businesses were forced to close due to governmental and environmental restrictions that simply crushed small businesses. That can’t be allowed to happen again in our state or district.
Life Issues
Biden’s tax plan and the consistent Democrats’ effort to raise our taxes is putting enormous stress and strain on Families and small businesses. As your Representative I will work to decrease / eliminate over taxation, decrease / eliminate government interference and stop unnecessary regulations that make day to day life in business and raising a family more stressful and difficult.

As Ohio State Representatives we have a duty to know how many illegal aliens are in Ohio. It is time to close our borders…North, South, East, West. I fully support LEGAL immigration. For the safety of our communities we must promote cooperation with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in order to find and deport those who have stolen their way into America and made their way to Ohio. Safety in our neighborhoods must be a priority.
Border: Every state is a border state!

Small Business Friendly

Teachers need to have the ability to protect themselves, their students, and their schools. Furthermore, any school board members who have become enemies of parents need to be replaced. Schools must be held accountable to teaching truth to Ohio students. This includes the unchanging truth that there are only 2 sexes: Male and Female. If a student’s struggles are kept from the parents this should result in job termination for the teacher who is guilty of this gross neglect and interference. It is time that the political views of left wing teachers stop indoctrinating Ohio children. We need to focus on getting back to basic educational principles. I support the shutting down of the Department of Education. I am a strong advocate of School Choice Vouchers that allow all parents to pick the school that best serves their child regardless of what neighborhood they live in. I oppose any shared bathrooms or locker rooms and reject all boys/men competing in girls/women’s sports.
- Police, emergency personnel, first responders: Police should be considered innocent until proven guilty when something occurs in the line of duty, and we should be funding, thanking, and supporting our police who put their lives on the line for us every day. We also need to support firefighters, emergency personnel, and first responders in every possible way.

Ultimately, it is the task of state representatives to hold the Governor and the various state hospital associations accountable for this kind of unjustifiable overreach.
- Judges and the rule of law: I support electing judges who will enforce the rule of law. That means putting people in jail when it is deserved and not releasing dangerous criminals back onto the street.
